Yesterday, someone who’s known me for over 20 years asked me,

“Your social media is going off. How are you doing it?”

The truth?

I’m struggling.

I have social anxiety, and putting myself out there never feels easy. Every post, every reel and every video still makes me question myself.

But I’ve learnt something over the years.

I rarely say no to something just because it scares me. The more I do it, the easier it gets. If I’d waited until I felt confident, ZiMara would never have existed.

I’m not showing up because I love being on camera. I’m showing up because I believe in what I’m building.

As a dance and cheer mum, I’m creating the things I always wished existed. Every time someone puts on a ZiMara jersey and smiles, it reminds me why pushing through the fear is worth it.

If there’s one thing I hope ZiMara represents, it’s this:

Be strong. Stay confident. Don’t make yourself smaller to make other people comfortable.

You never know what’s waiting on the other side of doing the thing that scares you.

I am SO excited for comp season, but I’m not excited for the dance & cheer comp hangovers. 😂

Not those kind of hangovers… I’m talking about the 4am alarms, hours in the car, full days at the venue, quick costume changes, endless coffees, getting home at midnight and somehow still needing to function on Monday. 😅

Wouldn’t have it any other way though. Bring on another month of dance floors, cheer mats, and making memories with our girls. 🩷✨
